A religious seamtress discovers that she was born with ambiguos genitalia and being barely a baby she was submitted to several surgeries to convert her into a “woman”.
This revelation confronts her with a challenge: To continue being the accepted but oppressed woman or to be a free intersex that must face the moral judgement of society.
About the Filmmakers
Patricia Ortega Graduated from the international film and television school of San Antonio de los baños (EICTV) in the specialty of Film Direction. Since 2009 she has been president of the production company Mandrágora Films with which she has made 10 short film works (Documentary and fiction). Her first feature film “The Comeback” premired in commercial cinemas in her country Venezuela in 2013. Her second film Being Impossible is a coproduction with the colombian company Antorcha Films. Distributed by Media Luna New Films. Currently ending its post-production. Her third feature film “Mamacruz” is in the initial phase of development.
